A tounge-in-cheek attempt to crossover for pop success, this EP contains covers of two of the most overplayed hit singles of recent memory, and reworks of older Luminarsi tunes. Mixing on Umbrella was assisted by Tim Shiel and the EP was mastered by Franc Tetaz @ Moose Mastering Available for free download here, courtesy of archive.org. This Lathe Cut record was produced by King Worldwide in an extremely short run of only 40 units. It features particularly quiet work from Luminarsi, composed and pressed as a gift for Andrew's lovely girlfriend. You can buy it online for $12 (including postage) a. Rest Your Pretty Head.
An experiment in drone music, created by recording a 3 minute improvised guitar piece (Sacred Gutter) and digitally stretching it to ten times its original length, to create epic washes of subbass, rising walls of distortion and moments of delicate colour. All in all, an output that Andrew really can't take any creative credit for. Includes a bonus track, Silkier, where the same process is applied to top 40 rubbish. Available for free download here, courtesy of archive.org. 1. Sacred Gutter. A collaborative EP by Melbourne producer Boyronin and Sydney producer Luminarsi. After meeting through the Clan Analogue collective, they embarked on a mutual remix project. On this EP, Luminarsi takes 3 Boyronin tracks and reshapes them into his own, while Boyronin takes 3 Luminarsi tracks and again transforms them entirely. Available for free download here, courtesy of archive.org. BOYRONIN Debut EP as Luminarsi. Available for free download here. 1. Brainfreeze Dub. This EP was a hurried release to respond to the demand that Das Beat, a german techno parody, would be made available after a high school talent quest. 1. Das Beat (original mix) The first ten songs Andrew ever produced when he was 15. Recorded entirely with an electric guitar (no bass), synthesised drums and Andrew's sister's (somewhat low-tech)Yamaha keyboard. 1. Paraphrase WARNING - these are low quality recordings.         | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
